Tips Sail

Just in today, this picture of a three Optimist kit set that has arrived and had its packing crate opened.

The customer is a sailing school that will teach their pupils to build the boats then learn how to sail them.

We supplied the North Sails, Harken deck packs as well as the wood with CNC cut okoume plys.

The white folders with blue binders are the building instructions and Optimist dimensions with a copy of the class measurement.

Watch this space, we should see them being assembled soon.

Angleo Lavranos was spot on when he designed this no frills offshore catamaran, we know it works as this one has gone together very fast over the past few months.


Check that with this design you build the boat the right way up, the center section under the boat will be turned over later and bonded into the space between the tow hulls.


With a detailed kit like this the bulkheads, hull and deck skins are all pre cut for the builder.



The interior joints have been filleted with epoxy and filler aditives, we can supply those materials also.
